 We offer a progression of private, hands-on fly fishing classes designed to meet you exactly where you are.

 Whether you’re taking your very first cast or looking to sharpen your technique, we’re here to help you grow with focused, personalized instruction.

Beginner Fly Fishing Class – An introduction to the basics of fly fishing, perfect for first-timers.

Intermediate Fly Fishing Class – For anglers ready to refine their skills and tackle more advanced techniques.

Fly Tying 101 – Learn to tie essential patterns and connect the art of tying with fishing success.

Two convenient locations: ​

Rio Grande, Corrales – A tranquil setting with a short nature walk to the water; ideal for focused instruction and practice.​​​

Tingley Beach, Albuquerque – Great for casting practice with opportunities to catch stocked trout and bass.

Class Details:

Duration 2 Hours Long

Availability 7 Days A Week​​

Start Times:

Morning 8 - 9 am

Afternoon 12 - 1 pm

Late Afternoon 4 - 5 pm ​​

Booking:

All classes must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

Fly Tying 101

Our Fly Tying 101 class teaches you the foundational skills

to start creating your own effective flies, including the same guide-proven patterns we rely on every day on the water.

You’ll not only learn how to tie them but also exactly how and when to fish them for success.

Tool Setup & Materials Basics
Learn how to use essential tools like the vise, bobbin, and scissors.

Along with an introduction to common materials such as feathers, fur, and synthetics.

Thread Control & Foundations
Master the fundamentals of thread tension, wraps,

and proportions key to building durable, clean flies.

Tying Guide-Proven Patterns 
We’ll teach you how to tie a selection of highly effective patterns

that our guides use on local waters.

Have a specific species or style you want to focus on?

We’re more than happy to customize the flies we tie to match your goals.
