Do I need a Fishing License?
Yes, you will need a New Mexico State Fishing License. You can purchase them online at
https://onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us/
However, if you are attending our Fly Fishing Class for the Rio Grande or a Private Access Trip, purchasing a license is not required.

Will we be catching fish during our Fly Fishing Class?
While the Local Rio Grande offers an excellent learning environment for our beginners, it does not provide many opportunities to catch fish.

I've never fly-fished from a kayak. Is it difficult?
Our Kayaks serve as a means of transportation. They help us cover much more water than what would be available on foot. Depending on your comfort level, we can float and fish or dock and wade. Rest assured, we will spend the necessary time working with each individual to ensure a successful day on the water.

Can I keep my fish?
We support catch and release. However, depending on State Regulations, if you feel inclined to keep a fish or two on your trip, please come prepared.

Do I need Waders?
This will be dependent on the time of year and location. Summertime allows for wet wading. It's a nice way to help keep cool in the high temperatures.

Do you provide the Waders?
We ask that you bring your own waders. We are looking to include these in the future.

Where do we meet?
We offer a full-service experience. This means we can coordinate a pick-up location or meet out on the water, whichever is most convenient for you.

Is there cell service in the area?
Some parts of NM waters have coverage, but don't count on it.
